The Zoning Board of Appeals is seeking a part-time (15 hours per week) Administrative Assistant to work under the direct supervision of the Building Commissioner / Zoning Enforcement Officer, providing assistance to the Board, as well as the Building Department as needed. The Classification and Compensation Plan for this position is $16.18-$17.68 per hour based upon experience.

The required essential functions or duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Proficient computer skills, especially in Word and Excel; proficiency with taking of minutes; attention to detail, and comfortable in a deadline driven environment. Prior experience working for a town board, understanding of town bylaws, working knowledge of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A “Zoning”, and Chapter 30A, Sections 18-25 “Open Meeting Law” requirements are strongly preferred. Attendance at approximately two meetings at night per month is required with a flexible daytime schedule.
