The town of North Andover is seeking Water/Sewer Maintenance Craftsperson to join its Department of Public Works. The Water/Sewer Maintenance Craftsperson performs skilled manual and technical work in the operation and maintenance of water and sewer equipment, the water distribution system, wastewater collection and pumping systems. Duties include repairing broken fire hydrants, shutting down gate valves, restoring water services after a water main break, marking water mains for Dig Safe and conducting pressure and bacteria tests on new water mains.
The ideal candidate will have five years experience in public works construction, water/wastewater or maintenance activities, valid Class B CDL license and Distribution Grade 1 license or the ability to obtain it with two years.
Salary Range: $25.91 (Step1) to $30.05 (Step 7) subject to the terms of the AFSCME Local 3687 collective bargaining agreement.
