Job Description

The town of Dudley is seeking a qualified professional to serve as the Administrative Assistant for the town of Dudley Water/Sewer Office. This position falls under the direction of the Water/Sewer Superintendent and is a union position in the USW.

The position performs professional administrative work supporting Water/Sewer Department operations, including scheduling, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, vendor contracts, departmental records, grants, and reports, and maintains accurate and confidential personnel and financial records. The candidate must have excellent customer service, organizational, communication, and time management skills, and the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, respond effectively to public inquiries, and utilize computer, accounting, payroll, and web-based systems.

This Grade 3, full-time, 40-hour per week position has a starting hourly rate of $26.24 to $31.19 based on experience and qualifications. Requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and three to five years of relevant experience. Ability to obtain a 1D (D1) Drinking Water Distribution OIT license within six months and a 1T (T1) Drinking Water Treatment OIT license within one year of hire (both stipend eligible).
