Foreman responsibilities include assigning and directing daily tasks and weekly work to water operations personnel in the construction, operation, and maintenance of water and sewer infrastructure, including wells, pump stations, treatment plants, storage tanks, valves, mains, and hydrants. Position works under the direct supervision of the Water and Sewer Operations Manager. The Foreman will perform the daily duties of the Operations Manager in their absence. This is a union position with a base salary of $114,243 with overtime annually. Overtime pay is in addition. Required qualifications include T2 and D2 drinking water licenses, Cross Connection Surveyors and Backflow Testing licenses, a Class B CDL, and a Mass. Hoisting License. The successful candidate will be required to participate in the weekly standby (on-call) rotation, which requires the ability to respond to after-hours emergencies at any time of day or night for one week out of every six. Benefits include a four day work week (10 hour days, Monday through Thursday), enrollment in the Massachusetts Public Pension System, 12 paid holidays per year, up to five weeks of vacation time commensurate with years of service, 12 sick days per year, and 24 hours of personal time per year.
