The Town of Raynham is seeking candidates for the position of Veterans’ Agent. The position is responsible for managing and administering the Office of Veterans’ Services, providing information, assistance, and referral services to Veterans and their dependents; assessing eligibility for benefits; processing applications and preparing reports as required by local, state, and federal agencies; and developing and administering Department budget.
Associates degree and 1 to 3 years of experience in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a veteran in accordance with state law and have a valid Driver’s License. Must maintain certifications required by the MA Department of Veterans’ Services and the US Department of Veterans Affairs. Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to veterans and their dependents, specifically MGL, C 115 and its amendments, as well as 38 Code of Federal Regulations.
