The town of Hubbardston is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and community-focused Treasurer/Collector to manage the town’s treasury and collection operations. This position plays a central role in safeguarding municipal funds, maintaining cash flow, administering payroll and benefits, completing reconciliations, and ensuring all financial activities comply with Massachusetts General Laws. The Treasurer/Collector oversees tax billing, collection cycles, delinquency follow-up, and debt service, and works closely with the Town Administrator, Accountant, Assessor, and external partners to maintain accurate financial records and support the town’s long-term fiscal stability.

Ideal candidates will bring strong technical skills in municipal finance, exceptional organizational ability, and a professional, service-oriented approach to interactions with residents, staff, and vendors. Hubbardston values collaboration and communication, and the Treasurer/Collector serves as a critical resource for internal departments and the community.

A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, public administration, or a related field is preferred. Prior municipal treasury or collection experience is strongly encouraged.

Salary: $65,000–$70,000 DOQ with full benefits.
