TREASURER & COLLECTOR OF TAXES

The city of Worcester, with an annual budget of more than $700M, is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Treasurer and Collector to be responsible for the administration of all city funds, including financial management, cash investment, debt issuance, and debt service management; supervision of payroll and accounts payable; and oversight of the collection of all city revenues, taxes, user fees, and parking tickets.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS in accounting, finance, public administration, or related field.
  • Seven years of related finance experience of which three years must be in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Candidate must be bondable and have knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding municipal finance.
  • Excellent communication skills.

SALARY RANGE: $95,882 – $148,356 annually, commensurate with qualifications. Full-time, exempt.
