The town of Truro is looking for a Town Treasurer/Assistant Collector of Taxes. The purpose of this position is to provide professional administrative, supervisory, and technical work in connection with the receipt, expenditure, investment, and custody of municipal funds, the custody of tax title properties, and collection of money due to the town; also, with the Assistant Town Manager/Finance Director, to manage the town’s debt service including the issuance of bonds; performs all other related work as required. The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative direction, control, coaching, and mentorship of the Treasurer/Tax Collector department.
The position has the potential to become the Treasurer/Collector position in the future.
