Working under the direction of the Town Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with the analysis of the planning board applications & potential impact on the town. Provides technical & administrative assistance with planning board responsibilities, decisions & coordinates related activities with other town departments, boards & commissions.

Master’s degree in planning or a related field; three to five years of community planning experience, preferably in planning administration; or equivalent combination of education & experience. Knowledge of community planning concepts, issues & funding; knowledge of grant-writing techniques; knowledge of zoning laws, bylaws & regulations & environmental regulations; with some knowledge of Massachusetts Land use law.
