The town of Lincoln, NH is seeking an experienced and community-minded Town Planner to lead the town’s long-term planning efforts and oversee the daily operations of the Planning and Building department. This position plays a key role in shaping Lincoln’s future through responsible land use planning, economic development, and the protection of the town’s natural and cultural resources.
Working under the general supervision of the Town Manager, the Town Planner also serves as professional staff to the Planning Board and acts as a liaison among various boards, developers, and the public on planning and zoning matters. The ideal candidate will be organized, collaborative, and able to balance multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and public service.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in urban or regional planning, public administration, or a related field (master’s preferred); five or more years of progressively responsible municipal planning experience; strong communication skills; and a thorough understanding of zoning and land use principles. Supervisory experience is a plus.
