For generations, Sunapee has been protected by call firefighters who respond from their homes and workplaces. That tradition continues. What’s new is the leadership behind it. The person selected will be the first to hold this position full-time — with the opportunity to build the systems, training pipeline, and long-range plans a modern call department needs, while protecting everything that already works.
The Department operates two stations with roughly 22 call firefighters and EMS providers, responding to everything from structure fires and highway collisions to water rescues on Lake Sunapee.
Salary $97,000–$145,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. First review of applications begins September 4.
Full details, including qualifications and how to apply, are in the position guide found here: www.sunapeenh.gov/fire-department-emergency-medical-services/job-opening/town-sunapee-full-time-fire-chief
