The town of Rockport seeks a talented, motivated individual to serve as its Public Health Director and serve as the professional technical resource and agent of the Board of Health responsible for the planning, managing, and promotion of public health and environmental protection programs in accordance with applicable local, state and federal regulations.

Must have a bachelor’s degree in public health or a related field; three to five years’ prior work experience, preferably in the field of public health; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position requires the employee to have a Class D Motor Vehicle Operator’s license; must be certified as a Registered Sanitarian (or Health Officer), Registered Soil Evaluator, Certified Pool Operator, Food Protection Manager, Title V Septic Inspector. NIMS and ICS certification within six months of hire.

SALARY RANGE: $70,000 – $73,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications, full-time, exempt, with an excellent benefits package plus $1,100 annual auto allowance. The full job description and application procedure are available at
