TOWN OF EASTON DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OPERATOR – BUILDING & GROUNDS DIVISION

The town of Easton is accepting applications for qualified individuals to fill the position of full time Special Equipment Operator for the Building and Grounds Division, 40 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications: High school graduation plus experience as a light equipment operator, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of a valid Massachusetts Class B CDL, Massachusetts 2B Hoisting license, EHAP Certificate, and Pesticide License. Some of the job responsibilities include: operates public works vehicles, dump trucks, specialized heavy equipment and light equipment such as street sweeper, flail mower, excavator, catch basin cleaner, hand/power tools, excavator, backhoe, front end loaders and computers. Maintains town fields and grounds and performs tree work.

This is a union position with excellent benefits including a municipal pension system and Step 1 is $30.504 per hour. The anticipated hiring range is $30.504–$35.692 per DOQ hour ($63,448.32 – $74,239.36 if annualized)– full career range is $44.965 per hour ($93,527.20 if annualized). The successful candidate must provide proof of an acceptable driving record from the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
