Dalton (6,330 pop.), is seeking a Town Manager who will provide exemplary leadership to the organization and have strong communications with, and work collaboratively with, all staff and community stakeholders. The Town Manager must be a team builder, with excellent HR/personnel management and procurement/project management skills, superior financial planning and budgeting skills, and the ability to build consensus. Dalton is a vibrant, fiscally stable community bordering Pittsfield, with a Select Board-Town Manager form of government, an open Town Meeting, and an FY25 budget of $22.96 million. Preferred candidates will have an advanced degree, preferably in public administration or a related field and experience as a Town Manager/Administrator or Assistant Town Manager/Administrator.

Annual salary: $120-135k, DOQ. AA/EOE. Dalton residency required within one year of appointment.
