Hull, Mass. (10,072 pop.), is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable leader with superior communication skills, a team-focused approach, demonstrated financial acumen, and demonstrable understanding of the issues coastal communities face related to climate resiliency, to serve as Town Manager. Applicants must be strategic thinkers with the ability to set and prioritize goals, and to be able to secure state and federal funding for town projects. Candidates should have experience as a Town Manager/Administrator, Assistant Town Manager/Administrator, or in positions that have equivalent responsibilities. This historic, coastal community is located on the Nantasket Peninsula at the southern edge of Boston Harbor. It is one of the most densely populated communities in Massachusetts and, in the summer, it experiences a large influx of visitors and seasonal residents. Hull lies approximately 20 miles from Boston via land, and about five miles via water. It has a five-member Select Board, Open Town Meeting, and a FY23 budget of $45.5 million. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred), preferably in public administration or a related field. The current manager is retiring following a successful 26 year tenure.

Annual salary: $185,000 +/- DOQ. The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package, including health and retirement plans. EOE.
