The town of Tewksbury is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Town Engineer within the Department of Public Works. The Town Engineer will perform professional and technical civil engineering duties associated with public and private Public Works infrastructure projects, including planning, design, review, and construction; perform supervisory and administrative duties in planning; and coordinating the operation of the Engineering Division’s services. The Town Engineer works under the direction of the DPW Director or his/her designee. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; five years’ experience as a Senior Civil Engineer with broad-based municipal engineering, including three years at a supervisory level; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional Engineering (PE) License required. Preference will be given to those that hold a Professional Surveyor (PS) License; OSHA 10-Hour Construction or General Industry Training; and Certified Public Procurement Official (MCPPO) designation.
