Town Accountant/Budget Manager: The town of Raynham seeks qualified and experienced applicants for the position of Town Accountant/Budget Manager to plan, provide accounting services, and coordinate Finance operations including both Annual and Capital budgets. Is responsible for the accuracy of the General and subsidiary financial ledgers to record revenues and expenditures. Prepares monthly and various year-end reports, including the balance sheet and reports required by the Department of Revenue. Working knowledge of the Mass General Laws governing municipal finance and procedures, GASB regulations.

Ability to work evenings during spring and fall budget development.

The ideal candidate shall hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or directly related field; five years of progressively responsible experience in public sector financial management preferred; strong working knowledge of municipal finance laws. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Must have or obtain within one year of appointment Certification by Massachusetts Municipal Accountants and Auditors Association.

Position is full-time; salary up to $85,000 based upon experience and education.
