The town of Holbrook (pop. 11,500), with a $43.4 million budget. The town is seeking an experienced and professional municipal finance leader to serve as its next Town Accountant. Candidates should have exceptional financial acumen and a strong leadership ability. Reporting directly to the Town Administrator. Responsibilities include maintaining a complete set of accounting records including appropriations, expenditures, receipts, assessments, levies and abatements. This position oversees the financial accounting of the town.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, minimum of five years of responsible related experience in accounting or financial management. Experience in municipal accounting preferred. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of municipal accounting and of applicable provisions of Massachusetts General Laws as well as SoftRite required.
Salary is dependent on qualifications with an attractive benefit package.
