Tele-Inspection Operator

The MWRA is looking for a Tele-Inspection Operator who supervises set-up and operation of TV Inspection equipment, including cameras, winches and related items. Maintains related equipment and implements preventive maintenance programs.

The work includes operating the TV camera, software and related equipment associated with internal pipeline inspections; supervising and participating in precision shop and fieldwork calibrating, troubleshooting, installing, repairing and maintaining internal pipeline inspection equipment; implementing preventive maintenance programs for internal pipeline inspection equipment.

The position requires a valid Motor Vehicle Class D Operators license; basic reading, writing, mathematical, scientific and oral communication skills as normally acquired through a high school education or equivalent; and an understanding of principles and practices of internal pipeline inspections as acquired through two to four years of directly related experience; and an understanding of basic mechanical and electronic concepts associated with inspection equipment as acquired through one year experience; the ability to get certifications from the following programs within 12 months after hire and renew every three years:

  • NASSCO Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP)
  • NASSCO Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP)
  • NAASCO Lateral Assessment Certification Program (LACP)

Salary: $977.75 to $1393.02 Weekly
