Here are some of the cool things you’ll do:
Research and prepare grants to support the provision of teen programs and services.
Investigate and integrate emerging technologies and best practices into service for patrons of the library.
Prepare publicity materials for the library such as press releases, flyers for programs and events for the library in written and electronic format; and use social media to promote library services.
Oversee the selection of teen fiction and nonfiction materials and authorize the purchase of materials to maintain a balanced collection and one that represents the community needs; make recommendations for the purchase of non-fiction library materials.
Manage the library services to teens in grades six through 12 and their families.
Supervise and lead the Youth Advisory Council, including planning and executing programs, educating peers about library services.
Develop technology competencies for staff and manage staff technology training; work with other professional staff to provide public technology training.
Work with Library Director and other staff to create, manage, and update technology plan.
