Job Description
Brookline DPW’s Highway Division seeks a Supervisor of Fleet and Facilities Services to manage Town-wide vehicle, equipment, and facility maintenance operations. The role oversees fleet repair and replacement planning; manages maintenance and security for DPW facilities and satellite locations; supervises staff; ensures safety and regulatory compliance; administers fueling systems and EV charging infrastructure; develops policies, specifications, and RFPs; manages budgets and inventory controls; conducts safety assessments; coordinates with Town departments, vendors, and residents; and prepares operational reports.
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, automotive technology, or a related field and five to seven years of municipal public works experience, including at least three years in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement is required.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of fleet and facility maintenance, effective supervisory and communication skills, proficiency in budgeting and computer systems, and the ability to operate light, heavy, and specialized equipment safely.
Starting pay range: $97,059–$102,335 with comprehensive benefits.
