Reporting directly to the City Manager and working closely with the Advisor for Strategic Initiatives, support the organization and execution of key strategic initiatives across the city. The ideal candidate will be a curious and humble problem solver excited about working in the public sector and working towards equity, sustainability and creating a city that works for everyone. Ideal candidate can establish collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, use data to break down issues and identify solutions, and communicate effectively through any medium (e.g., PowerPoint, word, email, verbally). They will support Cambridge’s commitment to a workforce culture of antiracism, diversity, equity, and inclusion and have a learning mindset. One and a half to three years of strategy planning or consulting experience. Experience in project management, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to tackle complex and unstructured problems. Positive attitude and willingness to own all aspects of a problem. Deep sense of humility, curiosity, and learning-orientation. Clear communication skills to distill complicated issues into recommendations. Expert quantitative analysis and critical reasoning skills. $103,801-$122,905 annually with competitive benefits.
