Solid Waste Laborer/Truck Driver
DPW – Transfer Station
The town of Amherst seeks a Solid Waste Laborer/Truck Driver to operate a variety of equipment utilized in construction, transfer station operations, maintenance and repair activities, and perform a variety of semi‑skilled tasks in the maintenance of street, water, sewer and storm drainage systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school education or equivalent and two years’ experience or any equivalent combination of education/specialized training and experience demonstrating the ability to successfully perform responsibilities of the position. Valid Massachusetts driver’s license. Valid CDL with endorsements for air brakes and tanker.
