The city of Chelsea is seeking to fill the role of Social Media Content Developer.
This is a part-time role, 19 hours per week. at a rate of $40– $45 per hour.
Position summary:
Reporting to the Communications and Community Engagement Manager, the Social Media Content Developer is responsible for creating engaging, relevant, and accessible content for the City of Chelsea’s social media platforms and website. This role focuses on amplifying the cty’s voice across digital platforms, connecting with residents in real- time, and expanding access to civic information, especially among underrepresented communities.
Qualifications: Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or digital media, required.
- Two-plus years of experience managing institutional or brand social media.
- Proficiency with content creation tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive digital communication, or a willingness to become familiar.
