The Concord Municipal Light Plant is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Master Mechanic to maintain and repair the diverse fleet of vehicles and specialized equipment that support the delivery of reliable electric service to the Concord community. This hands-on position is responsible for diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs, coordinating inspections and equipment purchases, and helping maximize the safety, reliability, and longevity of CMLP assets. The ideal candidate will bring extensive heavy and light-duty vehicle repair experience, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced public utility environment. Duties require knowledge equivalent to one to two years of trade school and four or more years of repair experience working with heavy/light diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a hazardous materials endorsement and Possession of a Class B Hydraulic license are required.
Starting salary range: $36.92 – $44.13 per hour, starting pay rate depending on qualifications. This is a full-time position, with a complete benefits package.
