Position: Senior Civil Engineer
Department: Department of Public Works
Reports To: Director of Public Works
The city of Holyoke seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to perform professional and technical work related to the design, review, and management of municipal infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include preparing engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates; overseeing construction, surveying, and inspections; reviewing permits; and serving as a liaison with MassDOT and other agencies. The position also provides technical support using CAD, GIS, and other engineering software.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Five years of experience in municipal infrastructure design (traffic, sewer, stormwater).

Massachusetts Professional Engineer license or Engineer-in-Training with intent to obtain PE.

Strong technical, communication, and project management skills.
Details:
Full-time, 35 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Salary: $68,497 – $90,588 (Grade 11, AFSCME).
