The newly formed Central MA Regional Health Department, serving the towns of Shrewsbury, Grafton, and West Boylston, is seeking a highly motivated Regional Public Health Specialist. This critical position coordinates the strategic implementation of our shared services across our communities, ensuring excellence in nursing, inspectional, and epidemiological resources across our communities. Weekly Hours: 37.5 Hours/Week
Hiring Range: $82,000-85,000 annually (DOQ)
What You’ll Do:

Manage the strategic framework for shared resources, ensuring the efficient and equitable allocation of nursing, inspectional, and epidemiological staff across participating municipalities.

Provide direct public health services, including performing inspections, developing public health initiatives, leading outreach campaigns, training, and community forums on priority health issues.

Ensure compliance and budget monitoring for shared services, support grant applications and fundraising, and prepare required quarterly reports for municipalities and funders.

Develop and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with municipal leaders, community organizations, state agencies, and healthcare providers.

Coordinate with regional working groups, including those focused on emergency preparedness, and participate in public health emergencies, special investigations, and related response efforts.
