Come join our dynamic team! The city of Newton is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Recreation Program Manager. The purpose of this Recreation Program Manager position within the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Culture is to be responsible for planning, scheduling, organizing, and evaluating four season recreational and leisure programs geared for a cross section of city participants. Performs budget planning and administration, publicity and other activities and programs. Develops, schedules and coordinates special and seasonal activities such as camps, sports clinics, sporting activities, lake programs, special Olympics, fairs, picnics, workshops, dances, breakfasts/dinners, parties and other affairs, sporting events, recreational or social activities on behalf of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture. Programs could include, but are not limited to, childcare, cable TV, Special and Senior Olympics, junior to senior sports programs, clinics and leagues, swimming, skiing, ice skating, after school projects, indoor and outdoor programs. Performs all other related work as required and directed. This is full-time, hiring salary range: $68,508-$72,679 annually plus yearly step increases, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to be a part of our team of dedicated public servants.
