The town of Harvard is hiring for the role of Public Works Director.
Performing a variety of complex duties supervising the operation of various public works operations. The Director supervises approximately one dozen full-time employees throughout the year and makes frequent contact with all town departments, local officials, relevant state officials and bureaus, and vendors.
Preferred candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in management and at least seven years of public works experience in a progressively responsible capacity, including three years of management responsibility; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of public works functions, possess and maintain a CDL Class B license as well as the necessary Massachusetts certifications to operate a drinking water supply facility.
Annual salary begins at $116,000 depending on qualifications
