The town of Lynnfield is seeking a full-time Public Works Administrative Clerk and Assistant. This position requires an energetic, organized, proactive professional and knowledgeable person to balance and prioritize situations. Must work both independently and in a team setting and will be responsible for ensuring that responsibilities of the job are done accurately. This position reports directly to the Director of Public Works; confers daily with the Director and other DPW managers to confirm department goals, objectives and needs. The position performs administrative and clerical duties supporting the management of the department including daily operations records, recordkeeping, accounts payable, receivable, payroll and department projects, events, tasks, policies and procedures. Requirements include: Knowledge of MUNIS, municipal accounting system, intermediate to advanced computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, WORD and Outlook as well as Facebook, Twitter and Blogs. Ability to learn and use new software programs.
