The town of Belmont is now accepting applications for the full-time position of Procurement & Records Coordinator for the Belmont Municipal Light Department (BMLD). Under the direction of the Finance Manager, Procurement & Records coordinator acts as a key point of contact for all procurement related matters, maintains Department records and control over all legal, procurement and admin documentation, assists in records access, maintains personnel files and records, as well as other administrative functions.

This position requires an associate’s degree in procurement/accounting or a related field with three to five years of purchasing and/or accounting experience; municipal experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. (Certification in the Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official Program (MCPPO) preferred.)

This position is qualified for the town’s comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental and life insurance, as well as paid vacation, sick, personal, and holiday leave. This position also qualifies for the town’s pension system. The Procurement, Records & Admin Coordinator is a Grade 13 management position with a starting annual rate of $74,815.99, working 40 hours weekly.
