The town of Weymouth has a challenging opportunity for a Procurement Analyst. Works under the general direction of the Director of Asset Management/Chief Procurement Officer. Interacts with co-workers, department heads and government agencies as well as external contacts such as vendors or contractors to explain or interpret procedures or guidelines, plan or coordinate work or resolve problems. More than ordinary courtesy, tact and diplomacy may be required to resolve complaints or deal with disgruntled or uncooperative persons. Performs administrative, technical, and clerical work associated with procurement of supplies, services, materials, equipment and construction projects. Research and prepare request for proposals, requests for quotes, invitation for bids for department. Review submittals for accuracy and completeness. Prepare and advertise legal notices and publications and maintain records for compliance. Schedule bid openings and record submittals. Review documents as required and distribute standard contract agreements.

In order to be considered, candidates must possess High school diploma required. Associate degree in business preferred and three years’ experience in procurement or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO) designation certification preferred or attainable within one year.
The hiring salary for this position is $64,073.85/annually. Full range for this position is $64,073.85 to $78,972.23
