There exists within the Treasurer’s Department the following anticipated vacancy:
Principal Clerk – S-26 (Full-time, 35 hours)
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Treasurer/Collector and the Assistant Treasurer/Collector, performs a variety of accounting and clerical duties to process and maintain accurate records of various town accounts. Position requires extensive interaction with the general public, taxpayers, mortgage companies, tax services and attorneys.
This is a union position under the Service Employees International Union (SEIU Local 888 – Winchester Clerical Workers). Current union members applications will be considered first. Salary Range (S-26) is $48,598 – 70,197.
Qualified applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and MUNIS and be able to be bonded. Prior municipal experience is desirable. Current hours are Monday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m..
