The city of Somerville is in search of a Pool Manager. Under general supervision of the Facilities Manager, this role oversees daily operations, supervision, and maintenance of the Kennedy and seasonal Dilboy swimming pools. Responsibilities include hiring and supervising staff, maintaining schedules, records, and time sheets, and ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed. The role involves managing pool finances, ordering chemicals, maintaining equipment, and ensuring cleanliness and safety throughout the facility. Duties also include teaching swim lessons, lifeguarding as needed, handling discipline, assisting with emergency procedures, organizing training, planning programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Strong supervisory, communication, and organizational skills are essential. A high school diploma and three to five years of pool experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. Must be a Certified Pool Operator. Performs other related duties that may be assigned.
Hours: Full-Time
Salary: $90,000
