Truro Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Patrol Sergeant. The primary duties of this position include supervising officers and civilian staff in daily operational activities. The Patrol Sergeant is required to perform general police duties and is responsible for evaluating their direct reports and ensuring compliance with all agency rules and policies, as well as state and local laws. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to provide leadership and mentorship to their subordinates. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. The salary range is $78,582 – $85,051, DOQ, excluding educational incentives, holiday pay and shift differential.

The minimum qualifications for position is five years’ experience as a full-time police officer and ability to meet all MPTC requirements for the position prior to appointment. Previous supervisory experience is preferred, but candidates with progressively more responsible experience, such as Field Training Officer Certification or OIC experience will be considered.
