The town of Duxbury seeks qualified Planning Director applicants (full-time and benefit eligible position) to  manage, direct and administer municipal land use planning, zoning and subdivision control programs within the town of Duxbury as delineated by state statute, town bylaws and zoning bylaws.  The Director Recommends, prepares and implements policies, programs, plans and studies needed to guide short-range and long-range planning and land use challenges and opportunities for the town.  Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Planning Board and Planning Department, directly supervises Department staff and contracted consultants. Qualifications: Master’s degree in municipal planning, or a related field; five to seven years of municipal planning experience, two years of supervisory experience, comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of municipal planning, zoning,  subdivision laws and regulations as well as MA open meeting law, procurement law, contract management or possess the ability to attain same or any equivalent combination. Required: Valid MA Driver’s License (will need to use personal vehicle) Professional certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP)
