PIONEER VALLEY PLANNING COMMISSION

Planner/Senior Planner:  Regional planning agency seeks to hire up to two planners, either Planner or Senior Planner to work in its Community Development Section. Desired qualifications include previous experience in a similar field; strong writing and verbal communication skills; knowledge of state/federal programs; strong organizational skills; and demonstrated experience in community development, municipal government, and grant writing. Minimum qualifications are as follows:

Planner – Two years professional work experience and a bachelor’s degree in regional planning or related discipline, or equivalent education and work experience. Starting salary is $40,000 to $45,000 with benefits, depending on qualifications and experience.

Senior Planner – Five years professional work experience and a bachelor’s degree in regional planning or related discipline (master’s preferred), or equivalent education and work experience. Starting salary is $46,000 to $58,000 with benefits, depending on qualifications and experience.
