Job Description
The town of Holliston is seeking qualified applicants for the non-union position of Permitting Coordinator, Planning and Community Development. Under the supervision of the Director of Planning and Community Development, the Permitting Coordinator provides clerical, administrative, and financial record-keeping support to the Planning and Community Development Department, including the Director, Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, Conservation Commission, and Economic Development Coordinator. As time allows, the Permitting Coordinator may also provide similar support to the Conservation Agent and Conservation Commission.
The Permitting Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for residents, applicants, and board members, ensuring efficient coordination of meetings, records, and regulatory processes. They prepare correspondence, reports, and other materials for the Director’s review. The permitting Coordinator also maintains departmental files, records, and office systems; manages office supply inventory; and compiles data for the annual report.
Qualified applicants will have demonstrable experience coordinating complex administrative processes.
Familiarity with land use permitting is preferred. Lived or work experience in municipal government is desirable, as is customer service experience. Please refer to the job description on the town website for additional details.
This is a part-time (up to 30 hours per week), benefit-eligible position classified as Grade 400. The anticipated hiring salary range is $24.18 – $25.30 per hour depending on experience. The full salary range is $24.18 – $31.76 per hour.
