HOLLISTON FIRE DEPARTMENT
Per Diem Dispatcher/Public Safety Telecommunicator
The town of Holliston is seeking applicants for Per Diem Public Safety Telecommunicators. The Telecommunicator receives 911 emergency calls and non-emergency calls for service. Other duties include operating all dispatching equipment including radio, MEDIVIEW online records management system, garage door controls, visual monitoring of cameras and other standard equipment.
This is a per diem position. The position’s pay rate is $27.73 per hour.
The successful candidate will have the ability to pass an oral interview, background investigation, CORI check, and dispatcher assessment. The successful candidate will also be at least 18 years old, earned a high school diploma or GED and have over two years of experience in a responsible position involving work with the public. Working knowledge of computers and software programs and some work experience in emergency or security services is desirable.
Prior public safety dispatching is not required, but preferred.
