The town of Stow is seeking a qualified part-time, benefit eligible (25 hr/wk) Payroll Coordinator.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to payroll processing, customer service, billing and collections, disbursement of funds, accounts payable, and general administrative functions.
Applicants should have excellent office & interpersonal skills and enjoy working with the public. High school diploma required, associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field preferred; or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work and three to five years of related work experience in accounting, bookkeeping or payroll or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Harpers Payroll System and VADAR Software a plus. Prior municipal experience preferred.
Grade 5, Step 1 of the town’s Salary and Compensation Plan, with a starting hourly rate of $28.06/hour with benefits, including health, dental and paid time off. Hours are expected to be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday and Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Flexibility is needed to cover other days/times when office is short-staffed.
