Town of Rockport | Payroll & Benefits Specialist

The town of Rockport is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to fill the full-time, benefitted position of Payroll & Benefits Specialist in the Treasurer/Collector’s Office.  Reporting to the Treasurer/Collector, the Payroll & Benefits Specialist is the primary department employee assigned to processing the town’s payroll and associated deductions as well as facilitating established employee benefits programs. Individual also provides exceptional customer service in support of the office’s collections-related functions. Provides support to the Human Resources Director relating to employee documentation, applicant tracking, and onboarding. Individual must be team oriented but also have the ability to work independently. Successful candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, more than ordinary courtesy and tact, as well as extraordinary attention to detail. Associate’s degree and three to five years’ successful related work experience or an appropriate combination of education and experience to carry out the required functions. Municipal experience a plus. Salary $48,000 – $52,000 DOQ/E.
