The town of Westminster is accepting applications for their part-time, non-benefited Assistant Health Agent position.

The Assistant Health Agent performs a range of administrative, technical, and inspectional duties related to assisting the Board of Health and Health Agent in conducting the town’s public health program and enforcing federal, state, and local public health laws, rules, and regulations. Assists the Health Agent in conducting inspections of septic systems, soil evaluations, food establishments, and code enforcement.

Special Requirements: Possession of a valid Massachusetts Class D motor vehicle operator’s license. Licensed MRS or MCHO. Ability to obtain one of these professional certifications within one year of employment is preferred: Licensed Soil Evaluator, Certified System Inspector, Certified Food Protection Manager, and NIMS & ICS training & Certification. Certified Pool and Spa Operator strongly desired. Position requires working on some evenings and weekends.

Pay Rate: $20.74 – $28.41, based on experience.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field, or a minimum of one year of experience with Board of Health activities.
