The town of Westminster is accepting applications for their part-time, Assistant Health Agent non-benefited position.

The Assistant Health Agent provides a range of administrative, technical, and inspectional duties related to assisting the Board of Health and Health Agent in conducting the Town’s public health program and enforcing federal, state and local public health laws, rules and regulations. Assist Health Agent in conducting inspections of septic systems, soil evaluations, food establishments and Code Enforcement.

Special requirements: Possession of a valid Massachusetts Class D motor vehicle operator’s license. Licensed MRS or MCHO. Ability to obtain one of these professional certification within one year of employment is preferred. Certification as a Licensed Soil Evaluator, Certified System Inspector, Certified Food Protection Manager. NIMS and ICS training and Certification.  Certified Pool and Spa Operator strongly desired. Position requires working on some evenings and weekends.

Hourly Pay Rate: $20.14 – $24.67 based on experience.  Requirements: bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field or minimum one year experience with Board of Health activities.
