Seeking qualified candidates for Grounds Maintenance Worker position in the town of Canton’s Parks and Recreation department. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of athletic fields, equipment and town owned land. Also oversees ice rink operations and operates the Zamboni machine; collects fees, sharpens skates and prepares the rink for skating and hockey games.
Non-Ice Rink Operations Hours: Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Ice Rink Operations Hours: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 2:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m.; Wednesday, 3:30 p.m.-11:30 p.m.; and Saturday 1:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
High school diploma or equivalent or apprentice level in the trades and one to three years of experience in landscaping, repair and maintenance of facilities. Driver’s license required.
