Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
The town of Holliston is seeking applicants for the on-call (with a stay-at-the-station option) position of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and we are open to all levels. The EMT is responsible for the delivery of emergency care in the pre-hospital setting and documenting patient interactions. Must have the ability to work collaboratively with emergency personnel, paramedics, police officers, and firefighters to provide emergency medical services for the town of Holliston. Duties include but are not limited to, cleaning EMS equipment and checking/replacing used or damaged supplies, sterilizing the ambulance interior, and restocking all supplies in the ambulance as needed.
The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age and possess a Massachusetts driver’s license, Massachusetts basic EMT certification or higher, and a CPR/AED BLS certificate for healthcare providers.
Please see the job description on the town website for further details. Pursuant to the town’s consolidated personnel bylaws, this position is classified as first responder/EMT basic, and the hourly rate is $23.46 per hour. Additional compensation of $80 paid for two-hour monthly trainings.
If you are an EMT at a higher level, the EMT-advanced level is $25.13/hr and an EMT-paramedic level is $25.76/hr.
This is an on-call, benefit-eligible position with various shifts. Our on-call model offers an offsite rate per shift and an onsite rate per shift (staying at the station). We also provide additional compensation if personnel is called to duty (not on shift).
