The Network Administrator Level 2 is a senior position that works with the Network team to define, document, and implement architectures for the citywide networking environment. Researches and analyzes issues, recommends the best course of action on resolving issues, and carries out associated tasks to resolve issues. Uses excellent judgment in identifying issues, analyzing proposed solutions, and developing recommendations which support management decisions, the city’s mission, and the best interest of end-users. This position requires broad and extensive experience with switching, routing, firewall, VPN, wireless, and network management. Such components include but are not limited to telecommunications, routers/firewalls, and other networking devices. Bachelor’s degree in network engineering or computer science or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Three years of experience working on medium-large scale networks, strong communication, and intermediate project management skills. Experience with Juniper Network equipment, Aruba Wireless Networks, Avaya Aura Unified Communications, and Checkpoint firewalls a plus. $95,764 – 112,288 annually plus excellent benefits.
