The Municipal Maintenance Department is seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of Bookkeeper. This is a full-time (40 hours a week) union position which requires on call (nights, weekends and holidays). Starting hourly pay is $22.96 – $24.35 depending upon experience.

Education: HS diploma or equivalent and three to five years of office/bookkeeping experience.

Responsibilities: Thorough knowledge of payables, receivables, accounting, budgeting and payroll. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: administrative duties with regards to Chapter 90 state funding projects; all administrative aspects of snow, ice and inclement weather; administrative tasks involving town cemeteries; overseeing payroll and budget preparation. CORI/SORI, pre-employment physical/drug test required.
