Provide strategic and operational leadership of the municipal water system to ensure safe, dependable, high quality drinking water that meets or surpasses all regulatory requirements and guidelines. Leads a team of 60 staff that includes administrative, technical, and operations positions. Effectively supervises consultants. Ensures a high level of performance by all through the promotion of professional development, training, high quality work products, and collaboration. At least seven years of progressively responsible administrative, management, and supervisory experience, preferably in a public sector or unionized environment. At least five years of experience using SCADA, GIS, and other operational technology in the context of water treatment and distribution. Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, sciences or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. State of Massachusetts distribution operators license (D1). State of Massachusetts treatment operators license (T1). $160,000-$184,409 annually.
