The city of Lowell is seeking candidates for the position of Maintenance Mechanic in the Lowell Regional Wastewater Utility. The position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor and Ensures proper maintenance of Wastewater Treatment Facility and Collection System in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner complying with all regulations by performing preventative maintenance and repairs to all mechanically related equipment at the facility and perform collection related duties, including troubleshooting.
Required to have a high school education or GED due to the nature of the equipment and system mechanics working with and within; Wastewater Operator License, Collection License preferred The variety of duties will require experience in at least one of several fields involved in treatment facility maintenance. Salary range: $29.223 (min) to $35.7781(max) per hour; 40 hours per week.
