The town of Weymouth has a challenging opportunity for a Licensed Electrician. Responsibilities shall include but are not limited to the alteration, maintenance, repair or installation of wiring, cables, switches, controls, fuse boxes, breakers, instrument and distribution panels, intercom, bell, power and communication circuits. May be assigned the construction of new facilities from blueprints and specifications. Responsible for the development and preliminary cost estimates for installation and repairs. May lead and instruct helpers and may assist other tradespeople with the performance of work. Inspect electrical systems, communication systems and equipment to detect and correct faulty components. Complete maintenance of traffic signals, work on DPW facilities including but not limited to: the water treatment plant, well water distribution system, sewer pumping stations, ejector stations and various other municipal buildings when assigned

In order to be considered, candidates should possess a High school diploma; minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience as an electrician or any equivalent combination or education and experience. Completion of recognized journeyman level program is required. Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator’s License is required.

The starting salary for this position is $61,127.84/annually.
